SCAE UK National Coordinator
After two years in the post Mr Kenneth Cooper is retiring in accordance with SCAE policy.
The Board of Directors and the Membership Committee would like to express it’s appreciation for the commitment and energy Kenneth has given to the chapter….our largest European one….especially last year when London was the venue for all our competitions and our annual conference and exhibition.
We therefore need to request once again nominations for Kenneth’s successor. Unfortunately there was no response to our request sent out in December so we would urge you to either nominate yourself or someone else for this very important role.
Currently we have a very experienced chapter team which is working on plans for competitions to find UK champions to compete in WCE world events during 2012 so the new incumbent will have the opportunity to take the chapter forward at a very positive time.
The newly-appointed person will hold the post for two years unless otherwise decided by the SCAE Board, the local members or, indeed, the person themselves. After two years there will be a new election/re-election, no one person being allowed to continue in the post for more than four years.
This is an important position as National Coordinators act as the lynchpin between headquarters and the members in the chapter and are responsible for organising the national championships in preparation for all the World competitions.
Any member can nominate themselves, or another person (please confirm that this person is willing to stand), for the position and if there is more than one nomination we will hold an election by confidential online ballot, which will be conducted by myself at SCAE HQ.
Attached is a document, ‘Role of the National Coordinator’, which should give you all the information you need.
All nominations must be sent to Jayne@scae.com by 19th January 2012 If an election is necessary, ballot forms will be sent to all paid-up members.
In order to aid the election process every nominee should provide me with a brief career resume together with any other information the nominee thinks appropriate.
This should not exceed 100 words and will be sent by online ballot to all members in the chapter.
Thank you for your attention and I look forward to receiving your nominations.
Kind regards
Jayne Richards
Membership Coordinator
